One of the best tracks on the DK's first album, with a ridiculously melodic bassline and quite a surf-punk solo. Skrewdriver are most known as being a nazi skinhead punk band, but back in the wayback in 1977 they were a standard-issue quasi-oi band like sham 69. This is the first track from their first album. I can't get enough daniel johnston covers, and this has the singer from half japanese! Mind is an under-rated (in my opinion) Talking Heads song. It has the funk, the bizarre lyrics, the great lead guitar parts, the bending notes, its purrfect. Me and my friends used to sing "the song is the single" all the time...it makes for a great sing-a-long. oh no is a rapper best known for being madlib's younger brother. I heard the track smile a lil bit on RIU and thought it was great, so put it on here. Bonus: features podronus (sic) from De La Soul. Pere Ubu have an unfair reputation as a "snooty art rock band" and to some degree they are (the six minute track of bottles smashing on their first album is a bit much) but this track has a rockin' beat and sounds like a definite influence on tv on the radio, seeing as how it was released in like 1979. Danielson are the best christian band ever...probably the only good one. The reason why is they were influenced by experimental music like rapeman and big black, and don't sound like nickelback. No, I did NOT include the terrible rap group "shwayze" on here, no broghamptons to be seen here, this is an obscure band from gainsville florida that broke up, I liked this song so I bought all their cds and was disappointed to find out they only have like 2 or 3 good songs. Back in the day when Oink.me.uk was still running a fellow named Brett Peters did some bitching acoustic instrumentals. This is from his "In The Valley" ep, which he mysteriously re-uploaded with an extra track. The next track is if there is a god, billy corgan solo and actually good unlike that gish crap-tanza. sir richard bishop does guitar for the sun city girls he's amazing blah blah blah. Scarface is in the geto boys, on his first solo album the last track is amazing, one of the best rap songs I have ever heard. Now you can hear it!!! I've had sunset rubdown on the show, here is more sonic gold. Cake is well known, but this is not a well-known cake song. They go 17th century style on this bitch.
