Episode 7: Children Sing Hallelujah All Across The Town

Welcome to episode seven of This Angry Silence! This is a no-bullshit music podcast. You won't hear me drone on about how amazing my music tastes, all you will hear is cool songs from my computer...if you don't like a song choice let me know and I'll plan future shows accordingly.

This episode is a random mix of tracks, and in my opinion the best episode thus far, because it presents a wide variety of different things that somehow work together. Track descriptions after the tracks as per usual, as it were.

ad-hok info: This track by Buju Banton is proof that not all that stuff from Jamaica is mindless drivel, it is one of my favorite songs in general. The Flaming Lips are pretty well known these days, but this track is from their album hit to death in the future head, when they were a lot more experimental and didn't master their albums way too loud. Holy Shit is ariel pink and mat fishbeck, when they combine it is either ponderous or genius, this is the second of the two of course. The White Stripes used to be a lot better than they were now, this is a track from their album "De Stijl." Hot Chip are from the UK. This is from their first (I say best) album. Their other albums have had some good tracks too (And I Was A Boy From School, Colours, Shake Your First, Etc) but their first one is solid, except for "hittin skittles" and "Abc" which granted are bonus tracks. This is a bonus track too and its the best! Everyone knows who daft punk are blah blah blah they are actually really good though. Wata is the guitarist for the semi-well known band Boris, this is a solo track she did on a 7" with a bitchin' solo and a great vocal melody. Highly reccomended.

The Fugees
The Flaming Lips
Holy Shit

The three of these really played off each other nicely and then boom Catch 22, really cool mix.
