Welcome to episode 8 of This Angry Silence! This is a no-bullshit music podcast. You won't hear me drone on about how amazing my music tastes, all you will hear is cool songs from my computer...if you don't like a song choice let me know and I'll plan future shows accordingly.
This episode is a random mix of tracks, a bit haphazard but that's how it goes.

The Hidden Cameras started as one gay dude, playing appropriately genre'd "gay church folk music." This song is amazing, I think its about a preacher raping a kid, and I put it on as many mixtapes as possible, cause it doesnt sound like WASP or some shit, its just a nice pop song. Funeral by Arcade Fire is a pretty good cd but I don't know if anything tops the first track on it. The Fiery Furnaces are a great brother sister duo from england, this won't be the last song I play by them for sure. The boomtown rats are dearly loved by my friends, I haven't given them much of a listen but this song caught my ear. swell are some random indie band, this is from a cd by them, it has some great lead guitar. wire are classic uk post-punk-before-there-was-post-punk or whatever...joe strummer did a fantastic album before he died, this is a track from it. pavement are a classic, somewhat overlooked 90's band, this is just a random track I like by them, there are so many more. sun city girls are a really good band i like, this is a nice improvisation they did on their cd "high asia". I only wish I could think of so many sonic ideas. Joanna Newsom released a great cd called Ys. It finishes with the track Cosmia. It is great on that album, but this track from her live album "ys street band" far tops it, and is almost twice as long too!

Nicely done. I haven't listened to the boomtown rats in quite a while. I have to dust off their files and give them a new listening.
How about an all acoustic show? The bare guitar is still my favorite sound.
sure i'll do that tonight
