This Angry Silence Episode 22: We'll Fly Through The Night Together On Our Bikes

Welcome to episode 22 of This Angry Silence! This is a no-bullshit music podcast. You won't hear me drone on about how amazing my music tastes, all you will hear is cool songs from my computer...if you don't like a song choice let me know and I'll plan future shows accordingly.

This episode is a random mix of tracks....BK made a fucking hilarious KROQ style sweeper for the show, check it out here...if he doesn't get a job doing car dealership ads, I don't know who will.

Capital Z joked that I would say "This ones coming off viny..." and the first track is of course ripped from vinyl, more specifically from the very rare ween release "The Live Brain Wedgie/WAD"...I think its a neat track. It is also on their first tape, which i can't remember the name of but its not nearly as good as this version. Emperor X is one C. Matheny who lives somewhere in the midwest and makes above average solo albums. Like all solo albums though, they tend to fall off in the second half. A classic STOOGES song...not the overrated tripe like "now i wanna be your dog" or "the last three songs from their first album they wrote in a single day"...just imagine if they had been allowed to make their first album 5 songs in 40 minutes...shit would have been awesome. Now for the fall. I will be the first to admit I'm not a huge fall fan. This song caught my ear, but most of theirs haven't. Eh. Another fantastic track from "The Name Of This Band Is Talking Heads." Don't even bother listening to the album version. In fact, don't listen to most talking heads albums cause they weren't that good in studio. Well, "mind" works good in studio and the remain in light album is neato...but their albums are so "calculated" and "repetitive"...and don't get me started on "true stories", cause then i will explain to you just how terrible it is and I wish I didn't waste 50 cents on a cassette of it. Another ariel pink track, I think his songs work best in a mixtape format, especially with his other songs, not as albums so much...a classic dre track...my favorite kraftwerk song from the only kraftwerk cd i have heard except for the hot chip remix snoozefest....and OF FUCKING COURSE a pretentious sun city girls song. Do you really think I can go more than two episodes without including a track by them? Cause I can't.
